July 10, 2014 // In California

Small, rocky, local, simple.

It’s the SoCal version of the rocky Oregon coast – Smaller. Sunkissed. Fashionable. Take a selfie with it. #earthporn #cali

El Matador is a prime spot for fashion photographers and beam bums alike!

And because a picture is worth 1,000 words…

The cave at El Matador State Beach in Malibu, CA

Boom! There is it, the money shot! To obtain this beauty, I braved the Photographer infested shores – It was a feeding frenzy! A few bikini models, an engagement shoot, tourists, and a travel blogger – all vying for the perfect shot against El Matador’s precious prized possession: the sea cave. (Actually, it was quite a polite dance… all smiles, ducking out of shots, warning each other of impending rouge waves; gotta love happy Californians!)

After the cave, there is plenty of shoreline for strolling and sunbathing.
